Technical Specifications 

Working Principle 

The working principle of steel pipes mainly includes four stages: forming, pressure-bearing transportation, anti-corrosion protection and prefabrication.

1.Forming Principle

ERW steel pipes are formed by high-frequency resistance hot-melt welding of steel strips. LSAW steel pipes are manufactured through steel plate bending and submerged arc welding to form large-diameter longitudinal welded pipes. Hot-expanded seamless steel pipes are formed by expanding solid tube billets at high temperature into hollow pressure-bearing pipe structures.

2.Pressure-bearing Transportation Principle

The closed circular metal structure of steel pipes carries internal medium pressure, and the pipe wall distributes stress evenly. This allows oil, gas, water, chemicals and other media to be continuously transported under high-pressure conditions.

3.Anti-corrosion Protection Principle

The outer wall of steel pipes can be coated with 3LPE, 3LPP, FBE or bitumen, while the inner wall can be sprayed with liquid epoxy. This prevents soil, seawater, acid and alkaline media from contacting the steel surface, reduces the risk of electrochemical corrosion and extends the service life of buried and subsea pipelines.

4.Prefabrication Principle

Through flange welding, support processing, pipe pile prefabrication and pipe section assembly, single steel pipes can be fabricated into complete prefabricated spools. These can be directly installed on site, reducing on-site welding, measurement and construction time.

It is suitable for high-pressure long-distance pipelines, subsea pipelines and sour service. PSL1 is more cost-effective for regular low-pressure gas, water drainage and steel structure projects.

4.Q: Can you customize outer diameter, wall thickness and length? What is the MOQ?

A: Custom sizes from 2.5 inches to 56 inches are available, with wall thickness 2.5–50mm and cut length 5.8–17.5mm produced according to project requirements. Small orders for regular sizes are acceptable, while MOQs for high-grade steel, subsea coated pipes and prefabricated spools depend on specific specifications.

5.Q: What working conditions are suitable for 3LPE, 3LPP and FBE coatings? What is the temperature resistance range?

A: 3LPE is suitable for buried oil and gas pipelines with a typical temperature range of -45℃~80℃. 3LPP offers better high-temperature resistance and can be used for higher-temperature subsea pipelines. FBE fusion bonded epoxy provides strong adhesion and is suitable for station process piping, elbows and acid-base corrosion conditions.

6.Q: Can you handle large-volume overseas EPC orders?

A: Yes. Steel pipe production, anti-corrosion treatment and pipe prefabrication can be scheduled simultaneously. We support ten-thousand-ton project orders and can arrange batch delivery according to project progress.

7.Q: What is the standard lead time? Will coating and prefabrication extend the delivery schedule?

A: Regular bare pipe orders usually take 18–28 working days. Coated pipes such as 3LPE/FBE take about 28–35 working days. Pipe prefabrication orders including flanges and supports take about 35–45 working days. Large orders can be scheduled in phases to reduce customer waiting time.

8.Q: Do you support third-party inspection? Which inspection bodies can you cooperate with?

A: We support third-party on-site supervision and finished pipe sampling inspection, and can cooperate with international inspection bodies such as SGS, BV, TUV, DNV, Lloyd’s and Intertek.

9.Q: What standard is the MTC? Can you provide EN 10204 3.2 third-party certificates?

A: EN 10204 3.1 factory material certificates are provided as standard. According to project requirements, third-party witnessed inspection can also be arranged to issue EN 10204 3.2 material certificates.

10.Q: What payment terms do you accept? Can you accept usance L/C?

A: T/T and irrevocable sight L/C are generally accepted. More flexible payment terms can be discussed for long-term large-volume orders, subject to formal contract confirmation.

11.Q: How long is the quality warranty? How are quality issues handled?

A: Steel pipes are generally covered by a 24-month quality warranty, covering material, welding and regular coating defects. If quality claims arise after arrival, we will evaluate the issue within an agreed period after receiving videos, photos and test reports, and provide solutions such as re-delivery, rework or negotiated compensation.

12.Q: Can you provide pipe prefabrication services? What is included?

A: Pipe prefabrication services are available, mainly including pipe butt welding, flange welding, pipe pile processing, steel support cutting and blanking, and complete pipe spool fabrication.

13.Q: Are your steel pipes suitable for hydrogen pipelines and subsea pipelines?

A: LSAW longitudinal submerged arc welded pipes can be adapted for hydrogen transportation, subsea pipelines and sour service projects according to project requirements. Relevant test and certification documents can be provided upon request.

14.Q: Are the products compliant with EU CBAM requirements? Can you provide carbon footprint documents?

A: CBAM-related compliance documents and carbon footprint information can be provided according to EU import declaration requirements. Details should be confirmed based on order specifications and export batches.

15.Q: Can you send samples? How are sample cost and freight handled?

A: Short-cut samples can be provided, and international freight is generally borne by the buyer. If full-length samples are required, material costs may be charged according to the actual situation, and can be negotiated for deduction after subsequent bulk orders.

16.Q: Can we arrange factory inspection or online tour?

A: On-site visits can be scheduled in advance. Online video communication can also be arranged to understand the production workshop, testing equipment and process management.

17.Q: What costs are included in the quotation? Can you quote based on FOB, CIF and CFR?

A: Quotations can be issued based on FOB, CFR, CIF and other trade terms, usually including base pipe cost, anti-corrosion, prefabrication and packaging. Ocean freight, destination port tariff and customs clearance fees are generally borne by the buyer, and we can assist with relevant cost references.
